The Commission is currently preparing a monitoring framework with headline indicators for the 8th Environment Action Programme, as announced in the European Green Deal. The proposal for a Decision of the 8th Environment Action Programme (8th EAP) currently under negotiation, includes the outline for a monitoring mechanism to measure progress of the EU towards its climate and environmental objectives.
Following the consultative paper “Towards an 8th EAP monitoring framework”, published on 17 February 2021, and a workshop for Member State experts held on 9 September, the Commission is inviting external stakeholders to a one-day workshop on this topic, on 8 October 2021 from 9-16.30h.
NGO representatives have priority; however if there are places left, they will be offered on a first come first served basis, also respecting a balanced representation from different organisations/MS.
Please register by 4 October 2021 through this link. You will receive a confirmation by email in the days following your registration, with more details on how to connect. If you have difficulties with the registration, please contact the contractor in charge of organising the event, on 8theapteamwork [dot] fr (8theap[at]teamwork[dot]fr).
The language at the virtual workshop will be English.
